Translation:
THANK YOU FOR THE MEAL
....

Cooking is another activity that we had during our time here at Jishukan. Even though I am not a good cook, luckily the food that I made turned out..... OK! (The only thing that I know how to cook is probably eggs and 2 minute noodles.) 😂 It was fun to cook with younger students as shockingly they were all better than me at cooking. This just made me realise how bad I am at cooking. I am sure that not only me but also the other New Zealand students felt the same way.

Takoyaki and Okonomiyaki PARTY

Today, the student council in Jishukan held a welcome party for us. During this time our buddies and us were divided into two groups where one group had to make Takoyaki and the other had to make Okonomiyaki. There was going to be some heated competition happening within the next few hours. My group and I, were going to make okonomiyaki. Okonomiyaki is japanese style pancake.  Let me tell you one thing
IT IS REALLY HARD.
Well it is not that hard, but trying to flip it over was hard. The first try we flipped it over successfully. However, I can not say that for the rest.

Cooking with 4C

Today we had a cooking class with Shareeks homeroom. We were going to make bento. It was really different from the cooking classes that we have in New Zealand. One of the main things was that the students had to bring their own ingredients for the food. The teacher would only provide seasoning and spices.

The bento that I was making with my group with teriyaki chicken with rice, some spicy prawns and cream pudding with fruits as dessert. The food looked really good but since I made some stuff, I didn't know if it would taste good.

.....
Overall, Today, I learned that I can actually cook (with the help of some friends ). I had a party with the student council and learned how to cook some Japanese food.
