I Finally Made It !

I don't know where to begin.

Adrenaline and nervousness was coursing through me as Mr Ali was handing out the letters to every student. My mind was completely blank and me being me, was nervously tapping my feet non-stop. "Esha," is what I heard to bring me back to reality. This was happening. After the rigorous process of essays, group interviews and Individual interviews (with Novatel), The six students had gotten selected. Everything lied inside the letter that Mr Ali was giving out. In that letter, either two things written on it, Congratulations or Unfortunately. With the letter in one hand, the other was slowly ripping the seal from the envelope as I was dreading the answer that lied before me.

This was my exact emotions as soon as I opened my letter. I tried not to cry (because I was still at school. Instead I went home and cried), but the emotions were all too overwhelming. Once I opened that letter, I didn't know the exact emotion that I felt. The first word that I saw was Congratulations, and at that moment, I just wanted to cry. Relief washed over me as the panic faded and it took me a while to realise that I had been selected. I read congratulations, but for some reason, I had to read the whole letter to comprehend that I had gotten selected. After going through this rigorous process, I am really grateful to be picked and given this opportunity to go on this exchange. I hope to make lots of memories and experience a new culture during this exchange.
