RADIO AO broadcasts

Radio AOs Rani and FilisiAorere College now has its own radio station operating every lunch time from speakers on the end of B block. An excited crowd gathered to listen to the first broadcast from 'Radio AO' (as it is known) on Tuesday, 20 April. Radio AO is being run by the year 12 Media Studies class, with two different students each day putting together a thirty minute show featuring their own choice of music and some spoken content. The station has been made possible by the Student Fund which is an incentive scheme designed to limit the amount of litter and vandalism around the school.
A station website is planned through which students can make requests and shout-outs. There are also plans to increase the coverage around the school with more speakers, as extra funding becomes available.
