The Aorere College Visual Arts Department has committed and enthusiastic teachers, passionate about their field. There is a wealth of knowledge and experience in the department. They are dedicated to creating a warm and productive environment where the students feel confident to experiment. This is evident in student enthusiasm and results. Students studying Visual Arts are given the opportunity to explore a huge variety of painting materials and techniques, as well as being introduced to some sculptural work. Students learn how to use artist models as a way to generate and develop ideas, as well as thinking analytically and critically about what they are doing. They are then able to apply their knowledge in a practical way through experimentation and clarification of their art works. Success in Visual Arts can lead to a huge range of lucrative and fulfilling careers in Fine Arts and creative industries.
