COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course is for students who demonstrate sound written communication skills and understand literature. The focus of this course is on reading and writing; students will develop their ability to respond to texts, both studied and unstudied, and their creative and formal essay writing skills.

COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course is for students who have struggled in English at Years 9 and 10. The students will focus on improving their reading and writing skills. They will also learn how to express their ideas in oral and visual forms.

COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course is suitable for able students of English who have achieved well in Level 1. Students will develop their analytical and communication skills and must have an appreciation of literature.

Students must have at least 14 Level 1 English credits, including two Merits or have achieved in at least two external assessments. English teachers will decide on the most appropriate English course for each student based on their Year 11 results.

COURSE DESCRIPTION
This is an academic course targeted at students who have demonstrated a particular aptitude for English. Students will further develop their ability to analyse and respond to literature and construct a convincing argument, both in written and oral forms.

Students must have at least 12 Level 2 English credits, including one of the external English standards.

COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course offers a mix of Level 2 and 3 INTERNALLY ASSESSED standards. The focus of this course is to give students the opportunity to meet the literacy requirements for University Entrance, and to give more able students the opportunity to achieve some Level 3 English credits. Students who choose this course should have an appreciation of language and literature.
