COURSE DESCRIPTION

Students will learn analytical and thinking skills that relate to everyday life. They will investigate current issues facing New Zealanders and people around the world.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Students must have passed at least one Year 10 Social Studies Aorere Standard or HOD discretion.

A pass in one external standard and one internal standard in one of the following Level 1 subjects: English or History or Geography or at HOD discretion.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Students will learn analytical and thinking skills that relate to everyday life. They will investigate current environmental issues facing New Zealanders and people around the world.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

A pass in one external standard and one internal standard in one of the following Level 2 subjects: Classics or English or History or Geography or Social Studies.

COURSE LEADS TO

Tertiary study in fields such as: Environmental Science & Management; Science; Commerce; Planning; Law; Architecture; Arts; Business and Information Management; and Education.

QUALIFICATION

Counts towards NCEA Level 3
