Health – HEA101 - Year 11

COURSE DESCRIPTION

All Year 11 students select either 11 Health or 11 Recreation or 11 Sport Performance. This course provides students with the opportunity to gain credits in Health and Physical Education. Students will gain skills for the health promotion sector and learn to make informed decisions relating to health issues.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Passes in Year 10 Health assessments for Drugs and Alcohol, Nutrition, and Relationships or HOD discretion

COURSE LEADS TO

This course can be helpful for students wanting to study Level 2 Sports Studies or Level 2 Physical Education the following year.

Counts towards NCEA Level 1

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course provides students with the opportunity to gain skills in the health promotion sector and learn to critically analyse and make informed decisions relating to health issues.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Students must have Level 1 literacy and have an interest in Health Education.

COURSE LEADS TO

This course can be helpful for students wanting to study in the Health Sector or do university studies in Health and/or Physical Education.
