Information & Communication Technology – 10ICT - Year 10
Students will learn about the exciting and interesting world of digital technologies. They will undertake projects that incorporate digital concepts and tools and gain an understanding of digital networks and systems as well as digital media. Projects will focus on applied use of programming and digital media, such as websites, animations and computer graphics. Students wishing to take this course must be working at curriculum level 4 in Technology, English and/or Maths, and have an interest in, and desire to follow, possible careers in ICT/digital technologies.
Information & Communication Technology – ICT101 - Year 11
COURSE DESCRIPTION
An interesting course, in which students will learn to use ICT in a variety of contexts to develop and apply a wide range of computer based design and technological skills. Students will undertake projects to solve authentic problems; such as websites and other digital media. They are expected to produce portfolios showing how they developed their solutions. Students will learn to use a range of industry standard software such as Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Flash as well as make comprehensive use of the Microsoft suite of programs. Suitable for students who enjoy working in an environment that fosters independence, enquiry, innovation and enterprise.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Suitable for those students who have ability and an interest in ICT and enjoy developing their own solutions to problems. L4/5 English language skills needed, completed projects in 10ICT and subject to HOD approval.

Information & Communication Technology – ICT201 - Year 12
COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course is for students with ability and interest in Information and Communication Technology who wish to extend their knowledge and skills in this area. Students will work on two major projects, one web based, and the other print based. Students will learn to use a wide range of industry standard software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and Flash. Students will learn how to incorporate and apply these skills and knowledge in the development of ICT solutions in consultation with key stakeholders. This course fosters independence, design, innovation, enterprise and enquiry.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
10 credits from a combination of 91045 Tech 1.2 (Use planning tools to guide the development of an outcome), 91046 Tech 1.3 (Demonstrate the use of design ideas to produce a conceptual design for an outcome) 91047 Tech 1.4 (Undertake development to make a prototype) or HOD approval.

Information & Communication Technology – ICT301 - Year 13
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Students will learn how to consult, interact and work with a client on two client based projects incorporating a range of applied technological and ICT knowledge and skills: one is web/multimedia based and the other is print media based. This course is for students with strong ability and interest in developing ICT solutions to authentic needs and opportunities and who wish to extend and apply their knowledge and skills in this area. The opportunity also exists for students to be provided with mentoring by, and interaction with, business and industry experts. This course fosters independence, design, innovation, enterprise and enquiry.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
10 Level 2 Technology or ICT credits, from 90342 (Develop and model a conceptual design in information and commmunication technology) OR 90349 (Develop and implement a one-off solution in information and communication technology) and 90368 (Demonstrate skills in information and communication technology), OR HOD discretion.
