COURSE DESCRIPTION
Students will learn basic core engineering skills such as use of hand and power tools, workshop safety, and engineering design, which can lead them into many facets of the engineering industry. There is a large practical component in this course and practical projects will be undertaken. This is the first year of a two year programme.

COURSE DESCRIPTION
This is the second year of a two-year pre-trade course in Engineering, continuing on from Level 1 Technology Engineering. Students will learn basic core engineering skills such as use of hand and power tools, machine skills, workshop safety, welding skills and engineering design, which can lead them into many facets of the engineering industry. There is a large practical component in this course and practical projects will be undertaken.

Mechanical Engineering – MEC202 - Year 13
COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course is an extension of the Level 2 programme. Students taking this course will be looking at taking up an apprenticeship in any of the Engineering. Students will be required to do work experience in the industry which requires days out of school.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
12 Level 2 carpentry credits
COURSE LEADS TO
Employment in the engineering, electrical and mechanical trades. Also, leads to polytechnic or other tertiary study.
