COURSE DESCRIPTION

Outdoor Education students will develop personal and social skills to become active, safe and skilled in the outdoors. Learning experiences will move students outside of their comfort zone and see students experience the satisfaction of overcoming challenges.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

None

COURSE LEADS TO

Level 3 Outdoor Education; Level 3 Sports Studies. Students who take this course can also take Level 2 Sports Studies. Students who take this course cannot take Level 2 Physical Education.

Counts towards NCEA Level 2

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Outdoor Education students will learn personal and social skills, to become active, safe and skilled in the outdoors. Students will develop their leadership skills through the planning and reviewing of an outdoor education camp.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Completion of Year 12 Outdoor education course or HOD discretion. Students who take this course can also take Level 3 Sports Studies. Students who take this course cannot take Level 3 Physical Education.

Tertiary study and/or career paths in recreation, outdoor recreation and sports
