Statistics – MAS301 - Year 13
COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course is appropriate for students who wish to continue to study Mathematics at Level 3. It provides preparation for University study in Algebra and other parts of applied Mathematics and Statistics. Students will learn how to write and analyse reports on data. They will also advance their knowledge of probability and solving equations.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
16 Achievement Standard credits at Level 2, including 90284 (2.1) Manipulate algebraic expressions and solve equations, and 90289 (2.6) Simulate probability situations, and apply the normal distribution or HOD discretion.

This course is appropriate for students’ who wish to continue to study Mathematics at Level 3 but do not meet the entry requirements for MAC301 OR MAS301. Students will learn
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
14 Mathematics achievement standard credits at Level 2, and who do not meet the entry requirements for 13MAC or 13MAS. Students who passed all standards in MAT203 in 2011 can choose this option.
