Liahona High School visits Aorere College

On Tuesday 29th November, four students from Liahona High School, Nukua’lofa, Tonga visited Aorere College. The students were the winning team in Tonga’s 2011 Youth in Business Challenge, a business competition similar to the Young Enterprise Scheme, where students run a business for a year. Their prize for winning the challenge was a fully funded 5 day trip to NZ.

The four students from Liahona High School met with some of our Bus301 students who had participated in the Young Enterprise Scheme. The students shared their stories about the successes and challenges they had experienced whilst running a business this year. The students from Tonga also spoke to the year 9 and 10 students in our Junior School Assembly and presented a beautiful Tapa cloth to the school.

We congratulate Liahona High School on their achievements this year and wish them well for the remainder of their trip in NZ.
