Well, learning the language was something that I was looking forward to when I applied for the scholarship. We had our Japanese lessons every Friday after school from 1:30-2:30 with an amazing teacher Yumiko Sensei. It wasn't easy nor hard, but it was interesting.
In these lessons, I learned a lot. On our first lesson I was abled to write my name in Japanese, and also how to introduce myself. I thought that was actually cool. But guess what was even cooler THE FOOD! That was one of the best things we did, was trying Japanese food. Ooh, the food was OISHII! It was something different compared to the food I eat every day. I was also proud of myself because I finally figured out how to use chopsticks.
The lessons were AMAZING! Loved everything! Even though there were lessons where I could not stop laughing but I still managed to stay focused. Well, If you know me then you should know that I laugh at anything. hehehehe
I also felt cool saying "yes, I can introduce myself and also a few words" to a question that I was asked by many which were, "Can you speak Japanese?". :))
Well, I wouldn't be able to learn all this stuff and feel this way if it wasn't for our amazing teacher, Yumiko Sensei. Preparing everything, making sure that we're up to date, making us food, enduring my immaturity, and always willing to help us. So, thank you Yumiko Sensei.
