The school offers the opportunity to participate and compete in every major sport including:

Athletics, Petanque, Tennis, Waka Ama, Lawn Bowls
Term 2
Basketball, Netball, Rugby League, Rugby, Soccer, Hockey, Table Tennis, Badminton.
Term 3
Sport from Term 2 still under way.
Term 4
Volleyball, Tag, Touch, Softball, Kilikiti, Cricket

Expectations in Sport at Aorere College
- Player contracts and permission letters signed by a parent must be returned to the team manager before the first game.
- Sport Fees must be paid to the school cashier before the first game. Fees are depending on the sport $20-$30. If a student is representing the school in more than two sporting codes there will be special considerations made in regards to their fees. One Day tournaments have a cost of $5-$10 - this cost covers transport to and from the game.
- Students who represent Aorere College in Sport must at all times abide by the fair play code of conduct and demonstrate a high level of sportsmanship. 'Play hard but always play fair'.
- Students who represent Aorere College in Sport must always respect their coaches, managers, team mates, the opposition, referee and supporters.
- Students who represent Aorere College in Sport must wear the school sports uniform with pride.
- Students who represent Aorere College in Sport must attend all sports meetings, practices and games on time. They must remain committed to the team they have gained a place in for the entire year.
- Students who support Aorere College Sport must do so in and enthusiastic and appropriate manner.
