Saying Goodbye EARLY?

Throughout my stay, I've gotten extremely close to Junna's dad. He has the best English and we talk a lot. However, today we had to say goodbye 😢. He has to go out of town for his company. I know he'll have heaps of fun but... I'll miss him a lot.

He dropped Junna and me off to the bus stop this morning for the last time and I couldn't help but cry throughout the drive. He opened the door for me and gave me a last hug. I cried so much. Throughout this time he kept saying "Gomen nasai" which translates to 'i'm sorry' in English. I think he kept saying this because he didn't what me to cry and because he felt bad that he was leaving me so soon.
Waiting for the bus and on the bus, Junna and I cried a lot. Usually, I wouldn't cry in public but at this moment I was too sad to care. Throughout the bus ride people on the bus looked so concerned and kept asking me if I was ok. They're so nice.
Things started to look up when I got to school. Today the other exchange students and I did home economics. We made a Japanese dish, it was delicious! Fili and I were in the same group and we ate a lot. Our group was so considerate and they even personalised the food by writing our names on it.

Overall today was very emotional.

The saddest part was saying goodbye and the fact that I don't know when I'll see him again; however, I will always appreciate meeting him and the moments I spent with him.

"This article is heartfelt and reminds us of the bittersweet nature of goodbyes. It’s inspiring to see such genuine reflections. Speaking of inspiration, check out this amazing achievement by students: Telkom University Jakarta."
